History and Mission

Founded in June 1972 by Pierre and Huguette Prud'homme in St-Canut, the distribution company is then called The Varieties of Quebec. With modest facilities, their first employee is hired and begins to sell in Montreal's north shore. In July 1972, the company's name changed to Variétés Pierre Prud'homme Inc., and the same year took possession of its first warehouse in St-Jérôme. Service territory expands gradually hiring representatives and employees, as well as the establishment of a fleet of trucks for delivery.

Their first son Marc began working in the family business in 1988, followed shortly by his brother Martin in 1993. Following two successive expansions, the company moved on Price Street in St-Jérôme in 2002 in a facility of 50,000 square feet. In 2012, 25,000 square feet were added to meet constant growth. Now the company has over 80 employees, including 18 representatives covering all of Quebec to serve it's 4300 customers with a range of 20,000 products.

Variétés Prud'homme's mission is to distribute the best products in a timely manner always at competitive prices while keeping an attentive service.
